RESPITE VOLUNTEERS

Play-Place is looking for volunteers with warm, friendly personalities, welcoming smiles and a genuine desire to help to assist individuals of all ages build confidence, improve social skills, incorporate functional activities of daily living through FUN, engaging small group . This is a “feel-good” opportunity to provide quality companionship, including facilitation of a variety of one-on-one and small group activities (art, games, karaoke, etc.), as well as assist with lunch and snacks in a comfortable, relaxed and fun environment.
This is a great opportunity for hands-on experience, fun and making a difference. 

Volunteer functions include:

• Assistance with facilitating, monitoring and engaging clients with fun, daily activities.
• Assistance with motivation and encouragement of client via communication, socialization, education & recreation supports.
• Assistance with coaching and shadowing clients when learning life, daily living or vocational skills, when needed.
• Follow and uphold all center guidelines while adhering to Play-Place’s core values, mission and corporate philosophies.
