Play-Place's unique WorkPlus Program features employment opportunities for young adults affected by autism and special needs that focuses on individual strengths and talents with well-defined goals in a sheltered capacity.
Individuals learn skills, build knowledge and receive continuous support while enjoying a sense of accomplishment, productivity and independence.
Opportunities for training include light clerical, reception, janitorial, food service, creative design, and retail experience.
We work closely with special education teachers and administrators from Macomb Intermediate School District (MISD) to ensure that our features and programs offer curriculums that meet core educational standards.
These educators are continuously involved in our classes and programming offerings.
