Bright Connections Occupational Therapy
Occupational therapy is often a recommended service for children with autism spectrum disorder. From development of fine and visual motor skills to evaluation and treatment of differences in sensory processing, this presentation will highlight the ways in which occupational therapy can support a child's development, helping them to reach their fullest potential.

An introduction to The PLAY Project® will also be featured during the presentation. The PLAY Project® is a play-based early intervention program for young children on the autism spectrum. The unique caregiver-mediated model, at the heart of The PLAY Project®, puts emphasis on caregiver learning and engagement as well as direct intervention with the child. Evidence has shown that participation in PLAY Project intervention produces significant outcomes for both children with autism and their caregivers. Improvements in language, behavior, social skills and autism severity are among the many positive outcomes.
